Weymouth's Olympic Joy!! - 06/07/2005
Everyone at Waterside and Chesil Beach is delighted that London has won the race to stage the 2012 Olympics. Weymouth will play a central role in the games with our new Sailing Academy staging all the sailing events. We have backed the bid since its inception and look forward to working closely with the organisers over the next few years. Chesil Beach and Waterside are the only holiday parks in Weymouth to overlook the Olympic sailing waters and there will be no better place to enjoy the games. We congratulate Lord Coe and his team on a magnificent bid and also recognise the tremendous efforts of everyone in Weymouth who 'backed the bid'.
